Substrate preparation
Take out the old covering and remove any loose or unstable layers, for example, using a diamond grinder
1. Prime the surface to be leveled using THOMSIT R 766 multipurpose primer. Level any large breakouts, height differences and irregularities, for example, using THOMSIT RS 100 renovation leveling compound.
2. Apply THOMSIT TRD 5 edge insulating strips in such a way as to prevent any leveling compound from flowing between the damping underlay and the edge strips. If necessary, also use a sealant (acrylic).
3. Level the surface using THOMSIT-XXL XPRESS fast-setting leveling compound with a minimum thickness of 2 mm and de-aerate it carefully using a spiked roller.
4. The new LVT design floor covering can already be laid after about 90 minutes using THOMSIT K 190 F fiber-reinforced PVC and rubber flooring adhesive..
