1. What personal data does PCI collect when you visit our website?

(1)   When you visit our website without contacting us or signing in, your browser transmits the following information automatically to our server:

- Website that you were on right before you landed on our Website

- Volume of data transmitted

(3)   Our website offers the option of subscribing to a free email newsletter. When a user registers for the newsletter, the data entered into the input screen is transmitted to us. Content of the newsletter are product-specific information, campaigns and invitations to events. If a user registers to receive the newsletter the data requested in the input screen will be submitted to us:

You have the option to additionally indicate the following data within the entire newsletter registration process:

(4)   Our website offers our users the opportunity to register with their personal data to be able to use additional free service. The data is entered into an input screen, transmitted to us and stored.

The following data are optionally collected when setting up a profile on the website:

The following data are additionally submitted when setting up a profile on the website:

- IP address of the accessing Computer
- Date and time of registration

2. To what extent and for what purposes does PCI process such data?

(1)   When you visit our website, we use your IP address and the other data that your browser transmits automatically to our server (see Section 1 (1)) in order to: 

a)      send the requested content to your browser. In doing so, we store the complete IP address only to the extent necessary to serve the requested content to you. 

b)      send your IP address to a service provider to map your public IP address with company and industry related information (no personal information). This company- and industry related information will be processed to our web measurement system. In this process step your IP address is not stored at our service provider or in our system at any time. 

c)      protect us from attacks and to safeguard the proper operation of our website. In doing so, we store said data transiently and with restricted access for a maximum period of 180 days. Such period may be extended if and to the extent necessary to prosecute attacks and incidents. 

PCI will investigate the user of an IP address only in case of an illegal attack. 

(2)   We store the IP address of your computer after having removed the last octet of the IP address, i.e. in anonymous form, for web audience measuring that allows us to improve our website. We remove the last octet of the IP address immediately after collection. That is why we do not collect personal data about your use of our website. 

(3)   If you contact us by email or by contact form on our website, we use the data under Section 1 (2) to answer and, if possible, to meet your request. We store such data to the extent necessary to answer and meet your request. 

(4)   The indicated user’s email address will be used after registration to send out newsletters. The other personal data collected during registration are for the purpose of avoiding data abuse and for the protection of the nsed email address. 

(5)   The registration serves the purpose of contract performance where the relevant person is a party to the contract, or of implementing pre-contractual measures Legal basis for data processing. Users must register in order for us to provide certain content and services on our website.

3. Are you required to provide the data? Are you entitled to object to processing?

When you visit our website, your browser transmits the information under Section 1 (1) automatically to our server. You are free to transmit such data. Without providing such data we are not able to serve you the requested content.

You are not obliged to let us use your anonymized data for web audience measuring. You are also not obliged to let us use your IP address for mapping with your company or industry information.

4. What is the legal basis for the processing?

The legal basis for the processing under Section 2 is point (f) of Article 6 (1) General Data Protection Regulation. The legitimate interests are determined by the purposes described under Section 2.

5. To what recipients do we transmit your data?

We transmit the data mentioned in Section 1 to Data Processors based in the European Union for the purposes determined in Section 2. Such Data Processors process personal data only on instructions from us and the processing is carried out on behalf of us. We do not intend to transfer your personal data to a third country.

6. How do we protect your personal data?

PCI implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful alteration, destruction, loss or unauthorized disclosure. Such measures will be continuously enhanced in line with technological developments.

8. Implementation of web analytics tools
8.1 Google™ Analytics


Our websites implement Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”).
Google Analytics use cookies. The information collected by the cookie about your using our websites will be transferred to a server of Google mainly located in the USA, and stored there. Please be aware that Google Analytics on our website has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to guarantee an anonymous recording of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). 9. Integration of Google Maps

10. Integration of Google Fonts

This website uses a live chat of Livezilla GmbH. http://www.livezilla.net/home/en. The chat uses cookies, i.e. text files stored on your computer which allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information on your use of this website generated by the cookie (including your IP address) is transmitted to a server of Livezilla, where it is stored. Livezilla will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to prepare reports on website activities for the website operator and to provide other services connected with website use and Internet use. Livezilla may also transmit this information to third parties where this is required by law or to the extent that third parties process such data on behalf of Livezilla. 12. Evalanche newsletter distribution and analysis

Information for promotional purposes will only be sent to your E-mail address if you have agreed to the use of your E-mail address for these purposes beforehand. No E-mails or newsletters will be sent for promotional purposes without your agreement. If you agree, we record your E-mail address, name and address together with data about information and reports of the newsletter downloaded by you. These data enable us to personally provide you by E-mail with requested product information and/or special offers and services by PCI Augsburg GmbH. It goes without saying that your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties beyond PCI.

If you should not wish to receive promotional data you can object any time. You can sign off from receiving email newsletters via “Managing my email profile” in the newsletter field on the website or by sending an email to Thomsit-info@pci-group.eu.

It goes without saying that our database and server comply with the highest security levels. We therefore guarantee to the best of our knowledge to protect the data in the best possible way from being lost, manipulated, disclosed, changed, deleted or accessed by unauthorized persons. The transfer of your data to our server is protected by the security standard of the SSL [Secure-Socket-Layer] system.

13. YouTube

This website includes at least one YouTube plug-in which belongs to Google Inc., with headquarters in San Bruno/California, USA. As soon as you visit a page of our website with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to the servers of YouTube will be established. The YouTube servers will then receive information on the pages of our website which you have visited. If you are also logged in to your YouTube account, this will enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour to your personal profile. You can prevent such assignments by logging off from your YouTube account before calling up such pages. 14. What rights do you have?

You have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, if you request it from us in writing:
