Alkali-resistant glass fibre matting for the reinforcement of THOMSIT floor levelling compounds in use on:

• Substrates with cracks and dummy joints up to width of 3 mm where little movement is expected
• Substrates which may be subject to cracking
• Substrates which may vibrate or may be damaged by vibration such as wooden board flooring, chipboard or OSB
• Mixed substrates

In combination with recommended THOMSIT floor levelling compounds, the product may also be used for highly stressed floors in commercial and industrial facilities.

The fibres are bonded using a special binder which dissolves on contact with suitable THOMSIT floor levelling compounds. This means that the individual fibres are effectively surrounded by the levelling compound and reinforce the levelling layer. As a result, the flexural strength of the bonded system is increased and shrinkage stresses are reduced.

In combination with THOMSIT-Floor® TF 320 glass fibre strands, the product may be used for bridging cracks up to 5 mm wide.
