Stuttgart, November 20, 2024 – The new renovation system, marketed under the THOMSIT brand by Sika Handel Bau, allows for quick installation and removal of large retail and display areas. This enables the implementation of theme-changing designs without leaving any residue. For floor layers, this sustainable renovation system offers a particularly efficient way to flexibly and time-efficiently adjust and renew large areas.
Launched in early 2022, the THOMSIT renovation systems campaign aims to make the work on construction sites as easy as possible for craftsmen. Since then, Sika Handel Bau has introduced several renovation systems for various types of renovation projects, always with the goal of offering the most effective solution for each renovation challenge. The products within each system are perfectly coordinated and easy to process.
When large exhibition or retail spaces need to be adapted frequently and quickly to changing themes and designs, and receive the appropriate flooring, this is often associated with considerable effort and residue. The latest renovation system offers an efficient solution. Comprising the multi-primer THOMSIT R 766, the premium leveling compound THOMSIT XF 500 as a filler, and the quick-lift adhesive film THOMSIT DT 100, this now ninth renovation system allows for flexible and resource-efficient floor installation and renewal.
The short drying times of the primer and the premium leveling compound greatly speed up the work process. The dry bonding of the adhesive film supports a fast workflow since the flooring is immediately load-bearing after installation, with no waiting time required.
If the flooring needs to be replaced again at a later time, it can be quickly and residue-free removed from the self-adhesive THOMSIT DT 100 film. The new flooring can then be installed immediately, and the substrate is ready for the next covering without any further preparation. Here too, the installer saves both time and costs thanks to the new system.
All products are certified with the EC1 Plus label for very low emissions, contributing to indoor air quality and environmental sustainability. Additionally, the multi-primer THOMSIT R 766 and the premium leveling compound THOMSIT XF 500 are certified with the Blue Angel.
