We can protect ourselves from visual overload. We simply look away. Against acoustic overload, however, we have no natural escape mechanism. And within our own four walls we would have to resort to a practical solution. Thomsit-Floor® Sound Damping System, with an integrated damping underlay, results in a 19 dB noise reduction and therefore makes good sense under PVC, linoleum and woven carpeting with minor to moderate footfall damping properties. PVC coverings alone result in only 3 dB damping. In addition, a damping underlay significantly improves walk-on comfort and the sensation of warmth to the feet.

Substrate preparation

The system can be used on any substrate ready for laying. The polished surface finish of Thomsit TF 303  guarantees a visually flawless appearance.
