Professionally fitting carpets in living areas throws up particular problems. Bonding a carpet to a service floor worth preserving – securely and without damaging the floor – always involves a risk. No one can guarantee that the covering can be removed again without leaving residues.
Thomsit T 590 FixChange System is the ideal solution, not just for living areas, but also for other building environments. The system combines all the advantages of fixed bonding with those of loose lay, guaranteeing a quick change without leaving a trace of the old covering.
Substrate preparation
The specially coated polyester underlay, cross-bonded with full-surface bonded floor coverings – textile and CV – results in a dimensionally stable composite construction. It can be used on almost any type of substrate – on PVC, CV, linoleum, carpeting, needle punch coverings, wood flooring, marble, on smooth ceramic coverings, chipboard, levelled-off screeds and level wood plank floors. Roll out, run by run, align and roughly cut Thomsit T 590 to shape. Then fix the floor covering onto the T 590 underlay. The entire construction can be simply rolled up when required, without leaving any residue.

Use Thomsit K 188 E Special Adhesive for CV coverings, touch dry.
