EasyExpress Barrier System for use on green cementitious substrates

In the majority of cases, substrates are not ready for covering. Bare young concrete floors generally require shotblasting or milling to ensure grip and adhesion of the primer and adhesive. Bare concrete floors often contain an excessive amount of residual moisture. Efficient protection against this moisture is provided by Thomsit R 756 EasyExpress. This solvent-free primer acts as a barrier against the capillary rise of moisture and residual moisture contained in concrete floors and cement screeds. As early as 4-6 days after their installation, these substrates will be ready for covering.

Substrate preparation

After smoothing the fresh cement screed, its surface should no longer have a wet shine. Water drops applied for testing must be immediately absorbed. Afterwards, pour Thomsit R 756 EasyExpress onto the substrate and spread with a rubber squeegee. Avoid the formation of puddles.

Priming

Thomsit R 766 Multi - Purpose Primer should be applied with a lambskin roller onto the substrate.

Levelling

Thomsit XXL Premium Levelling Compound - Dust Reduced has an excellent spreadibility and produces an ultrasmooth surface while levelling out 0.5 - 20 mm unevenness in one single operation.

Bonding coverings

On the cleaned substrate, Thomsit P 685 FLEXTEC Elast Universal – a water- and solvent-free elastic adhesive – is ideally suited for bonding solid and engineered wood flooring.
