Why schedule for the expensive and time-consuming preparation of risky substrates when drainage straight off the roll makes the job easier and quicker? Drainage straight off the roll, Thomsit TF 201 Sheet Membrane is the all-decisive factor for “active moisture regulation”. The profiled underside separates the floor covering from substrate, allowing the screed to dry out gradually.

Substrate preparation

Thomsit TF 201 can be laid at once on sufficiently level and load-bearing cement screeds with excessive moisture content up to a maximum of 5.0 CM %, and on calcium sulphate screeds (anhydrite) up to a maximum of 1.5 CM %. The same applies to stone wood and magnesia screeds. Dimensionally stable, aging-resistant, suitable for roller castor traffic, low emission and with a neutral odor, Thomsit TF 201 also provides heat insulation and footfall damping. TF 201 is generally laid loose. Simply roll out over the entire area, with the profile underside. Let it settle and then rub down lightly, making sure the membrane lays tension- free. Abut seams and tape on the underside with adhesive tape to secure against slippage. General distances from walls are 5 mm. In the case of substrates with excessive residual moisture, allow a gap of at least 10 mm and use a ventilated skirting board.

Bonding coverings

Apply Thomsit K 188 E Special Adhesive and lay PVC or CV floor covering when touch dry (see Technical Data Sheet).
