Thomsit History
65 years Thomsit – this is truly a reason to be proud of our achievements. Since its foundation in 1946 as a product brand of Thompson-Werke GmbH in Düsseldorf, Thomsit has covered a lot of ground in the floor installation market. Successfully – right from the start. The market debut of Thomsit A, the first ready-for-use and solventfree linoleum adhesive, was soon followed by further innovations that set benchmarks: the insulation adhesive Thomsit B and the copal resin putty Thomsit C.
Over the years, Thomsit has consistently developed into a leading supplier of system solutions – first on a national and then on a global scale. Thomsit meanwhile operates in over 30 countries. Its key success factors, then and now: first-rate quality, smart products, special focus on the needs of professional users and excellent technical service. Naturally, Thomsit has always been a reliable partner to the crafts and trades and followed a policy of sustainable building.
Sustainability is part of Thomsit’s DNA. Across all business divisions, sustainability is a key topic at Henkel and the driving force behind our thoughts and actions – and this includes, of course, Thomsit.
