When removing old coverings, the client has to reckon with approximately three days delay and loss of use. This entails costs for the removal of waste and the new preparation of the substrate, as well as all the dirt, dust and noise. Thomsit Rapid Conversion System – carpet on carpet – is a genuinely quicker solution, with a substrate straight off the roll: Thomsit T 580 Renovation Fleece.
Substrate preparation
Brush and vacuum old textile coverings thoroughly.
Laying Renovation Fleece
Thomsit T 580 is coated on one side with adhesive and thus self-bonding. Lay transverse to the direction of the new carpet, with closely abutted seams, and carefully rub down.
Bonding coverings
Use Thomsit T 410 Aquatack® Carpet Adhesive on the affixed Renovation Fleece.
Can be made conductive if required
Brush and vacuum old carpet and lay Thomsit T 580 Renovation Fleece. Prepare a transverse conductive layer with Thomsit R 762 Conductive Base Coat (replaces copper grid). Use Thomsit T 412 Aquatack® Carpet Adhesive for conductive bonding.
