As in the previous case, the old floor covering – PVC for example – does not necessarily have to be removed, with all that this undertaking entails: removing old adhesive tracks, and the accompanying work of cleaning the substrate, vacuuming, priming and levelling off anew. The job progresses much quicker with Thomsit Modernisation System, where the new covering is simply laid over the old PVC covering. Simply lift off so that the old covering can be used again – damage-free!

Substrate preparation

Check if the old PVC floor covering is ready for laying, possibly re-bonding loose areas, and clean thoroughly with Thomsit PRO 40 Basic Cleaner.

Fixing coverings

Fix the covering with Thomsit TK 199 Universal Fixative (also suitable for CV coverings).
